Updated the ScreenShot files which consists of Real Bout Fatal Fury, World Heroes Perfect & Kizuna. The FE_ROMs for MAME also updated.

Here is the update to the screenshot files. It contain screen capture for 3 ROMs. ie. Legend Of Success Joe, Panic Comberman and Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer together with the updated FE_ROMs. Get it here.

NeoGeoFE v1.27 is out. Below is what's new.
- Added support for NEOGem
- Discard support for Gekko
- Wider the display area for name
- Update the ROMs datafile, now contain 91 ROMs.
I haven't added the resolution support in the NEOGem (-r x y), for all user out there please let me know what resolution it work on beside 320x240.

Oh... looks like it a long time I didn't update my homepage.... Well for the last few weeks I am busy with the 16th Commonwealth Games.
Here is what's new..... I just updated the screenshot files. Feel free to download, if your think the file size is too large please let me know. Lastly, did anyone know where I can download a copy of Double Dragon ROMs. Please send me the URL only.

Morning everyone. As promise yesterday, the final version of the NeoGeoFE v1.26 (build 35) is release. Nothing new, it's just a bug fixed version. As for the screenshot I might upgrade it later tonight. :-)

Hi, Sorry for the lack of update. Here is something for those who visit my site regularly. A new version of NeoGeoFE is out. The current version is v1.26 (Build 34), it's not the final build for this version coz one bugs is discover. It will be fixed tonight.

Below is what's new for v1.26
- Allowed NeoRAGE native zip support. Yes, you can run the ROMs without unzip it using my NeoGeoFE. This result faster access time.
- To facilitate the SaveState and HighScore, NeoGeoFE will convert the LongFilename to the 8.3 format before execute it. Updated to support NeoRAGE native Zip support.
- Fixed one bugs in the In Game screenshot. Thank go to Gerardo for pointing this out.

Here is the bugs discover this morning, NeoGeoFE display the wrong manufacturer and year information. This will be fixed tonight. So do not download if you don't have a high bandwidth.

As what your can expected, the new NeoGeoFE v1.25 is out. I spend 2 hours coding the program and only use 15 mins to test it so I release this as pre-release. Belows is what's new.
- I disable the Gekko button at the moment coz I think not much people are using it right now. Until the new version is out, it will be remain disable.
- Interface wise there is not much changes. I did some changes in the way the program is executed. The current working directory is now call UnZip.tmp (It will be created if it doen't exists).
- Because NeoRAGE now support SaveState and HiScore saving, it's recomended to rename you ROMs to 8.3 format coz NeoRAGE don't support long filename. If you still want to use long filename, here is what I did to solve this problem. NeoGeoFE will convert the long filename to 8.3 format when it was unzip into the working directory.
- User who have their ROMs in unzip format, you directory name need to be in 8.3 format. Sorry. :-)

FLASH... NeoRAGE v 0.20 is out (in case you don't know). With this new release it support HiScore saving and SaveState. Great.
After my initial test of the new NeoRAGE with my FrontEnd ... looks like some changes need to be done in order to handle the SaveState and HiScore saving. Hopefully can get it out by tomorrow.
Work on the initial version of new GenesisFE is completed, but with the new release of Genecyst which support Zip, I need to change some code before release it.

Hi... The bug fixed version of the new NeoGeoFE is here. The version number should read 1.2.3.27 when you click on the properties. Bug on handeling the Zip file is now fixed, I also added an auto sort routine ROMs should sorted after you exit from the ROMs edit screen.

Flash.... Do not download the current version of NeoGeoFE (ie. v1.23). A bug is being found on it, it seems like it refuse to reconise the Zip ROMs after I add in the Non Zip support. A new version will be online on Monday. Thanks go to Gerardo spotting the bugs.

Hi, updated the NeoGeoFE, the version number is still v1.23 below is what I added;
- Support non archive ROMs (Non Zip), this is for those who want to have theire ROMs burn in CD-R. To implement this, just enter the directory in the FileName field name eg: NeoGeoROMTopGolf.

Work of the New Genesis Front End (aka GenesisFE) begin, hopefully can be out by this week. After the GenesisFE I am planning to create a MagicEngine FrontEnd and others.

Hey! the NeoGeoFE v1.23 is out. Below is what I added.
- Added Manufacturer, Year release and GameType
- Fix bug when you Add or Delete ROMs, the total ROMs count and ScreenShot didn't shown correctly.
- Fix error when you use the cursor key to navigate

Thanks for all the people sending me information regarding the Cyrix vs Pentium. This really help me when deciding my CPU upgrade. Lastly, thanks again for those people who visited my page regually.

Updated the NeoGeoFE to v1.22 which support neoRAGE v0.01. I also included the new FE_ROMs.INI and some ScreenShots. Thanks go to SpooNMan's.

As you can see from the new screenshot, it run on windows 98 :-)

I am planning to upgrade my CPU to either a Pentium 233MMX or a Cyrix M II-300, did anyone out there have any information on the Cyrix M II-300. Please let me know your experience with the Cyrix CPU. The price for the M II-300 is similar to the Pentium 233MMX (In fact cheaper by US10), so which one is a good choice? Please let me know.

First, sorry for the late update. I like to thanks those people who check my site regulally. The news today is I updated the NeoGeoFE to v1.21 and as for the GenesisFE I guest your still have to wait until I solve some of my machine problem. Belows is what's new in NeeGeoFE v1.21.
- Add support for all the NeoRAGE option switches. This includes -j, -f?, -modex -s. ;-)

NeoGeoFE v1.20 is out. Beside what is being implemented in the 1.20 BETA I also included followings new additions.
- Added Setup for NeoRAGE option command.
- Added Setup for Speed Up switch.
- Add support for Joy Joy Kid and Riding Hero.
If you are looking for the new GenesisFE, I am sorry to said that the new version didn't make it. After I browse thru the code, I decided to rewrite the FrontEnd. Check this page more frequent for the new GenesisFE.

Today version NeoGeoFE v1.20 BETA is out. Follows are whats new.
- Added FE_ROMs.INI, with this you can maintain your own ROMs List.
- Add a new switch in NeoGeoFE.INI, allowed speed up the ROMs convertion process for Gekko.
I release this as BETA version because some bugs are found after I finish work on it. Please read the Known bugs before you download it. The next update for v1.20 will be on Next Monday.

The next version of NeoGeoFE will support user define ROMs name and ScreenShot BMP filename. Targeted to release on Thursday if everything works ok.
Works on GenesisFE is currently on lower priority coz I find it more interesting to work on NeoGeoFE.

Yes, the NeoGeoFE is updated to version 1.10. Belows are some improvement I added to the NeoGeoFE v1.10.
- Support NeoRAGE v0.00005
- Command option support for NeoRAGE.
- Alternative directory for ROMs and BMP Screenshot. Yes you can have the ROMs in difference directory.
- Fixed Bugs on file cleaning (well encounter this bugs on 1:20am when I am about to go to sleep). :-)

Note : If you previously downloaded the NeoGeoFE, you only need to download the NeoGeoFE v1.10 (Program Only).

Sorry for the delay, finally NeoGeoFE v1.00 is out. This FrontEnd support Johan Gekko teaser. Features in this FrontEnd include Zip support, auto rename and convert ROM. More info will provided when I change this HomePage. You can download the FrontEnd here.

Finally did some update to this page. This is a minor upgrade with some GUI lift up, another minor upgrade one will be comming out this week-end together with my new FrontEnd for Gekko (a.k.a. NeoGeo Emulator).
